Nursery & PreSchool
Welcome to Children's Ministries at University Covenant Church! We are committed to loving and teaching children to experience and follow Jesus in ways that speak to a child's heart, mind, and soul. We strive to make each child's experience at UCC child-centered, safe, age-appropriate, creative and fun!
Nursery
(Available during 8:00 am, 9:30 am, and 11:00 am services)Our Nursery classes are filled with loving arms, special blankies, colorful toys, Saltines, diaper changes, Cheerios, rocking chairs, bottles, lots of giggles and just a few tears! We share Jesus' love with our youngest children using well trained and caring volunteers. We welcome infants 2 months through 24 months.
Preschool
(Available during 8:00 am, 9:30 am, and 11:00 am services)
8:00 am: Preschool children join the nursery children for a class tailored to the needs of the children in attendance.
9:30 am and 11:00 am: Our trained and caring teachers share Jesus' love with preschoolers through inside and outside play and age appropriate teaching times. Our preschool circle time includes singing, prayer, an offering, a scripture verse, and a Bible story. The 9:30 and 11:00 classes offer different curriculums for those families who stay for two hours of worship and/or Adult Sunday School. Our preschool offering goes to support a missionary family originally from UCC who have preschool aged children. We welcome all preschool children, ages 2 years through 5 years.
All nursery and pre-school adult volunteers go through an application process that includes an application, reference checks, fingerprinting and interviews. Nursery and preschool volunteers participate in various types of training and in-services. We believe each volunteer adds their own special unique style and gifts in our ministry to children.
