why should I give online?
It's a personal preference, but here are a few of the benefits we hear frequently:- It's a step of faith ... deciding in advance to give faithfully
- It helps simplify life ... no trying to remember whether or not you've given this month
- It allows you to give consistently ... even when you're not at service
- It allows you to focus on the service when you're in service ... no more digging around for a pen
how do I give online?
- Scroll to the bottom of this page, fill out either the One-time Gift or Automatic Recurring Gift section, press the donate button, and follow the prompts!
can I schedule recurring donations?
- Yes, you can specify whether you want your contribution made weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or whatever frequency you choose to establish. You can set up as many schedules as you would like, so it is possible to give a monthly gift as well as a weekly one if you so desire.
can I test this by giving one time?
- Yes, simply scroll to the bottom of this page and fill out the One-time Gift section, click the Donate button, and follow the prompts.
will I still receive a contribution statement?
- Yes, we will mail your year-end giving statement directly to your home address.
how do I participate in the weekly offering if my contribution is automatically processed online?
- You can still take part in the offering during the service on Sunday by singing along with the worship team or reflecting on the music or media that is presented.
- Instant Transfer from your bank account (if you have registered your bank account with PayPal).
- Buyer Credit or PayPal Plus Credit Card.
- Credit Card / Debit Card.
- eCheck from your bank account (if you have registered your bank account with PayPal).
- No. You only need a PayPal account if you want to set-up recurring payments.
- One-time payments can be made using a major credit card.
- The technology that permits online transactions via debit cards also permits giving via credit cards and makes no distinction between the two. We strongly urge you NOT to put your gift on a credit card UNLESS you are able to pay it off each month because we do not want God's people going into debt. But, if you intend to pay off your balance each month we believe that is an issue of conscience and leave that between you, God, and your frequent flier miles! Please see the previous question & answer regarding other funding sources from which you can pay via Online Giving.
- You can edit or delete a scheduled contribution at anytime, including the credit card, date, frequency and amount.

is online giving secure?
- We've taken steps to ensure that the giving process is safe and secure from beginning to end. All of your giving data is secured by SSL encryption. SSL is an acronym for "Secure Socket Layer", a security protocol that provides communications privacy over the Internet. It is the same technology used by banks and e-commerce companies such as Amazon.com to keep your information safe and secure during transactions.
- UCC has elected to use PayPal as our payment vendor. No fees are incurred by you (the donor) for any contributions made via the online giving system. However, UCC will incur (up to) a 2.9% fee plus 30 cents per transaction for each donation or payment processed, regardless of payment method.

what other options are available to me to give to give donations to UCC or it's ministries?
- Besides the obvious options of putting cash or check into the offering basket during Sunday services (or mailing a check to the church office), you can also arrange to have your financial institution set-up recurring payments directly to UCC. No fees would be charged to UCC under this arrangement; however, you should check with your financial institution to determine if you would incur any processing fees.
