A NEW DIRECTION – RETHINK HOW WE SERVE FAMILIES & PARTNER WITH PARENTS
Most of a child's spiritual development happens not at church, but at home. As a result, the mission of KidZone is to partner with parents to teach kids the Scriptures and point them toward a life-giving, life-changing relationship with Jesus.
OUR CURRICULUM – 252 BASICS

-
Based on Luke 2:52 (And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men)
-
Built around Three Basic Truths:
- Wisdom: I need to make the wise choice.
- Faith: I can trust God no matter what.
- Friendship: I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
-
The Three Basic Truths are amplified through 36 monthly virtues (such as kindness, generosity and faith) and 150 Bible stories. Every week there is a key TRUTH or bottom line that we will drive home. It's the ONE THING we want kids to understand and grab onto during their hour in the KidZone.
-
Plus, LITs (Leaders in Training) for 6th graders — a chance to learn and practice leadership!
-
So that you can help enhance your child’s spiritual life, we’ll provide you with tools and devotions that you can use to continue the week’s lesson… at home!
God-Time Cards:
God-Time Cards are designed for parents to continue the week’s KidZone lesson ... at home! If you are a Bible pro, or a new Christian, these take home lessons are a simple tool to equip parents on how to become spiritual leaders in the home. They cards have 4 days’ worth of devotion ideas for kids to use in their time with God, or that you can do together with your child. Kids will be able to find their weekly God-Time Card available for download on ucov.com as well as in hardcopy at each Sunday KidZone. We want to help all of our kids establish a lifelong habit of spending time with God!
Refrigerator Door Cards:
Refrigerator Door Cards are designed to keep parents in the know about what your kids are learning each week in the KidZone. Become familiar with the monthly theme, memory verse, bottom line, and the Bible story! It will all be showcased on your weekly Refrigerator Door take home card (which will also be available for download on ucov.com).
Monthly Parent Newsletter:
Each month a parent newsletter will be sent out to provide an overview of what is planned for the KidZone, the virtue and memory verse for the month, and the scriptures and Bible stories we will be covering. In addition, it will contain upcoming events, relevant announcements, and a Parenting Moment section, where you will receive instruction and challenge on how you can enhance your child’s spiritual life!
